Job description

Incubane, powered by VirtualResource (VR), is a tech-driven, product-first team enhancing Workday with Extend services, Built on Workday apps, and AI automation. As part of VirtualResource, a boutique consultancy helping businesses optimise their HR systems, we combine deep expertise with innovative tools to transform the HR tech landscape.

What is the role about?

We are looking for a hands-on Product Manager to own the roadmap and development of our Built on Workday product portfolio, including 360 Feedback, AI Goals, and future products in the pipeline. You will be the driving force behind what we build, why we build it, and when it ships.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, customer insight, and delivery execution. You will work closely with our development team, customers, and partners to translate market needs and customer feedback into a prioritised, well-structured product roadmap. You will balance innovation with commercial viability, ensuring our products solve real problems for Workday customers while strengthening our competitive position in the Workday Marketplace.

You will collaborate with our co-founders, developers, and consultants to shape product direction, define release plans, and drive go-to-market alignment. You should be comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders and be confident making trade-off decisions.

If you thrive in a startup environment, enjoy building products that matter, and want to shape the future of HR tech innovation on Workday, this is your opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and maintaining the product roadmap for Built on Workday products, ensuring alignment with company strategy, customer needs, and market trends

  • Defining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in close collaboration with the development team

  • Prioritising features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer impact, commercial value, and technical feasibility

  • Gathering and synthesising feedback from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to inform product decisions

  • Managing the product backlog and sprint planning process, ensuring the team has clear direction and context for every release cycle

  • Coordinating product launches and updates, including release notes, documentation, and go-to-market materials in collaboration with marketing

  • Monitoring product performance, usage metrics, and customer satisfaction to identify improvement opportunities

  • Staying current with the Workday platform roadmap, Marketplace requirements, and competitive landscape to inform product positioning

  • Working with the sales and consulting teams to support demos, customer conversations, and product-led growth initiatives

  • Contributing to the long-term product vision and identifying opportunities for new Built on Workday products

As part of the Incubane team, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your objectives and delivery commitments. Our team is a mix of on-site and remote members who connect through IM, video calls, and project management tooling. Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are essential.
