What is the role about?
We are looking for an experienced Workday Integrations Developer with a strong Payroll integrations experience (can be either integration with Workday Payroll or 3rd party Payroll systems), who is based in the APAC time zone.
As a Workday Integrations Developer, you will design, build, and maintain integrations between Workday and Payroll systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy. This role involves working closely with clients to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize integration solutions to meet business needs. Your expertise will help clients maximize the efficiency of their Payroll operations through robust Workday integrations.
Responsibilities will include:
Design, develop, and deploy Workday integrations for Payroll systems (Workday Payroll or third-party systems).
Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and provide tailored integration solutions.
Utilize tools such as Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and APIs to build and maintain integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to ensure data accuracy and seamless functionality.
Conduct testing and validation of integrations, including error handling and edge cases.
Document integration processes, field mappings, and system workflows for future reference.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and external vendors, to support Payroll operations.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and organizational policies in all integration work.
Optimize and enhance existing integrations to improve performance and scalability.
Job requirements
What skills are we looking for?
Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis.
To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.
Skills and Experience Required:
3 - 5 years’ Workday Integration and implementation experience including payroll integrations (either Workday Payroll and/or 3rd party payroll systems);
5+ years of experience in the application of modern integration technologies (EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net, middleware);
Attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture, pragmatic problem solver
Excellent planning, interpersonal and time management skills with a track record of following through on dedications
Excellent technical communication skills are essential
Fluent in English (writing, reading, and speaking)
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
Other Qualifications/Skills that will be beneficial but not mandatory:
College or University Degree in HR or Information Systems
Experience with any of the following: Java, JavaScript, .NET, XSLT, NetBeans IDE development background
Experience in other critical corporate platform implementations such as Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Sailpoint, SAP, Siebel, MuleSoft, Dellboomi, or applications built on AWS services
As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in the APAC region, so long as you are authorised to work without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
